I think engish speaking and culture are better understood in PI & India than Thai and Vietnam.

BTW Glen, I seriously doubt the Age Pension will be gone in 6 years, check out the residential qualifications, so far as i know, you can get it whilst living OS permanently.... they changed the rules recently I believe to mean new Disability support pensioners have to be Oz Residents, but I may be wrong, worth checking

Couldn't tell you aboput the pedos as you say. There are dirty freaks all over. From what i know there is a huge community on pushing out the girly bars to one corner of north Moon Muang.

I own two condos in Chiang Mai. You kust can't buy dirt.

Think 45K purchase + maintenance and tourists booking for month gigs. I also have work there so I can keep an eye on things once in a while.

Chiang Mai is a great community. Thais are mental whern under stress and I have seen really worrying things but in the whole,A trip to doy se thep once a week could cleans all but the worst neighbourly issues.

Ive always been interested in living overseas, and have done a little research over
the years...in general the world can be divided into two groups of country's

• Country's that encourage foreigners to invest and retire/live there, Ghana,
  Kenya...im sure there are others.

• Country's that don't encourage foreigners to invest and retire/live there
  Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Mauritius ...im sure there are others.

For very little money a man can live very well in some parts of Africa, and get
significant tax breaks, permanent residency..and the help of the govt to setup
there....of course there no cute Filipinas/Thais there but u can get visas for them.

Hello again:
The Chinese ex now has Legal Aids on to me for a property settlement ( sold last year ) and took 5.5 K out of my account. Been to the Philippines and got 2 Acres for 11K with a mate and now have 2x24 yrs Girls wanting to settle down with me. Opened up a bank account over there no worries and now trying to sell up to get back.
Sadly I will be leaving OZ just as house prices are about to double again and the LNG will flood you all with $$$$$$$$$
Only problem no is do I buy a 38 or 9mm for $100???
I do know Philippines clock has no hands and a Westerners are Wallets on legs.

I think ill just buy a cheap studio in Sydney so i can work here as a casual, and spend 2 or 3 months a year somewhere else...have like a second, part time, low risk life...off shore. :dunno:
