His Lib detractors are probably jealous of his private success.
Homophones: they're, their and there. The toughest homophones around.
You homophonic?

Timmy,Only natural after an electoral defeat, especially after an election that was there for the taking and somehow lost. Made John Hewson look like a legend.
So, the knives are out. Good thing, too. 'Bout time these time-server throwbacks from the Howard glory days were turfed out and the party reinvigorated. (Shame its just different time-server throwbacks from the Howard glory days doing the challenging).

A blessedly sane and reasonable post, thanks, Snake.Timmy,
Just curious as to what or where you would like the Libs to go to or become.
Considering the Nats have their own leader are they backstabbing anyone?
John Hewson was very uninspiring. Saw Hawke handle him in parliament across the table.

I don't know? The article didn't specify ... guess that's what being faceless is all about?
Gotcha Timmy. At least we do know who the faceless men of the Labor Party are. They are, in many cases, the ones who have not been elected but nevertheless dictate the terms to the Labor Party puppets.
Trainspotter put a picture up of them today somewhere, do a search.
Yes Timmy, I saw them, but what are you trying to prove?
Sorry, confused? You brought up the Labour faceless men, not me?
Yes Timmy, you sure are confused. That is plain for all to see.
In no way was Turnbull about to cross the floor. What Turnbull was doing was to come to an agreement with Rudd on a compromise enviromental plan. Remember he was only defeated by ONE vote for leadership of the party. The problem with Turnbull is that he is an honest politition and that means that he is socially unacceptable with many others in the house. His Lib detractors are probably jealous of his private success.

I also saw the photos of some of the Labor party faceless men. Where was Howes and Feeney and who knows some others who were missing from the photo.
Timmy,I agree with you, he wasn't up to it at all really. And I think my comparing Abbott to Hewson shows what I think of Abbott.
I was going to compare Abbott to Latham (which I have done before), but that is just too cruel.
Pretty much my only concern is to get a winning attitude back. All this excuse-making, defeatism, 'good election to lose', since Aug 21 ... I find uninspiring and weak. And if the next election is 6 to 12 months away, there really isn't time for this defeatism at all.
As you know, I don't like Abbott, and I really thought the results from this election were not good enough, but I would be interested to hear from others on who they think is an alternative.
I saw in a paper yesterday I think where they say the Libs should have got more in NSW and should not have lost the seats in victoria. Considering they were only getting candidates ready just before the election in a few seats in NSW they haven't done well with the preparation. It could have been much better, but there was some issue with the party there not just Abbott in choosing candidates - read that recently.
