visual said:I live in Brimbank and am constantly disgusted how food is handled in our shops,the council requires that they have a food handlingprogam yet only checks these shops 2 a year.The health department apparently only gets involved if the problem is so big that it becomes a major issue,problems I have encountered ,someone blowing her nose in the sink in full public view,handling money at the same time as food,the local health department assured me this is not a problemfinding worms in fresh fish,meat handled with ungloved hands ect...what do you all think is this a major problem anywhere else.

Brimbank is the council that covers parts of the western suburbs of Melbourne.The only significance I suppose would be in the disantvantage thats common around here.Which maybe explains why health regulation are optional as is everything else,like good school,health care road,ect...
