I thought I'd start a thread on Senator Vance, the Donald's pick for Vice President in the upcoming Presidential election in the USA.

He is quite an interesting character and has a good back story. I'll let others comment before doing a summary of him. I'd vote for him.

@Garpal Gumnut Hmm I thought that I read something recently that Senator Vance was an ardent anti Trumpet supporter.
Now, he sees him as the Mesiah.
Is the thought of being VC to POTUS and having power, is this what has changed his mindset.

Indeed !

Politics is a tricky game. Nearly all, if not all the Republican side are now pro Trump. Power is a powerful aphrodisiac and as a means to an end JD Vance is now perfectly placed. I doubt a Democrat will see the inside of the White House for at least another 12 years.

Trump wants to bring back national identity which is exactly what the world needs.

Unfortunately the powers that be don't want a unified country. Easiest way to stop unifying is by flooding with immigration whose values don't fit the host country.

The longer it goes on the more violent the world will get. A lot of these lobbyists need to be strung up.

Haven't really watched Vance very much at all and haven't formed any sort of opinion on him at this stage,but the democrats are promulgating that he wrote in his book that he had fun with his couch and a rubber glove.

This turns out to be an absolute and complete fabrication and has just been repeated by Harris's VP pick.

Politics in the US is a dirty game and both sides are guilty, but this is perhaps the most disgusting lie I have seen about any candidate ever. They aren't really quite disgusting.

Happy for you to post any vid where Kamala doesn't look like a moron. POTUS is a serious role, it is the commander in chief of the armed forces, leader of the free world, yet this woman can't string together a coherent sentence, actually worse than the dementia patient.

TBH it never made sense to pick JD other than he was willing to grovel at Trump's feet, sure he would appeal to the MAGA crowd but thats pointless.

It will be easy to paint Vance as a fake hillbilly having actually never actually grown up in that area unlike his grandmother who he was quite derogatory about in his novel.

When Trump picked Pence it was very strategic and Pense kept his head down but Vance so far has been baggage with no obvious benefit.

Still early days.

Voted so that women's files can be accessed to see if they have had an abortion and then prosecute them.
Heavy hand of government.
 
Another position he supports is restrictions to birth control e.g. the pill.
This will need to go to the Supreme court to further restrict women. The Taliban would love him as a member.
