Hi ASF'ers,

I'm new to investing and trying to find out where i would find information on the number of shares a company has issued.

I've searched the internet and it still isn't clear to me.

Does anybody hear know where I can find this information or have a link to a good explanation?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Benji

You can just check the most recent Annual Report, it will have the information. Also if you use an online broker it should be available on their site. I know it is with CommSec. Also if you subscribe to data services like QuickFS its available there. Yahoo finance also posts shares outstanding in the statistics tab.

Thank you for your reply Galumay.

where would I find this on the annual report? As I have had a look at the Statement Of Financial Position and I can't seem to see it

Easier to go to marketindex.com.au, type in the stocks code and listed under key fundamentals is no of share issued.
Not sure how often it is updated.
