I love this software! Been a few thing were I’ve thought, gee it would be really cool if it did this or that and sure enough after a bit of research it does. Anyway just though I’d share the latest indicator I found for the R/T users out there if anyone didn’t know.
It’s called the session statistic indicator. Basically one of the things it can do is work out the average, median or sum of the volume for a particular time of day.
For example; I can bring up a 30 minute chart and have it calculate the average volume over the last x days for each 30 minutes at the same time of the day. So for between 9:00-9:30, 9:30-10:00 etc, it displays the average volume for the last x days.
If that wasn’t cool enough, it will also do a delta of current volume against average volume and chart that.
You don't have to use this with volume either, it can calculate average price range, max, min etc. It can then also be exported to Excel so no more macros!
First histogram below is the delta, 2nd is the average volume for the corresponding time of the last 20 days and the 3rd is actual volume.
