Hi.
Angelo, Hubb Investor is the free software in a lead up to the purchase of ProfitSource.
Value Gain is their fundamental software which is pricy. Somebody else on this forum asked any users of ValueGain and he did not get a reply.
So obviously there is not a lot of interest in the Hubb Software. The reason why is this technical analysis is based on Elliott. They are several modules in the series of Hubb.

Go to Paritech site and check out their software.
IMO this is one site that you can view the software, check the costing of data without any unknown traps.
I believe you can get a trial before purchase.
One point I can make is if you are interested in Pulse(which is real time), there is a IPulse which is 20 minutes delayed for a much cheaper price. MarketScan is their simple fundamental scanner, but I am unaware if it has been upgraded. I have a friend who has Metastock, which I believe is not user friendly.

This comment is not a sales pitch as I do not use their software at the moment.
I did use IPulse for a time and was extremely happy with it.
Cheers

I haven't used Hubb and can't comment on it. I like to be very involved in the selection process as I can then have some hope of using results to improve/modify my strategy.

I use a combination of fundamental and technical analysis. I prefer to let somebody else do the fundamental analysis - for some years I have used Martin Roth's Top Stocks for < $30 for the ASX. This provides me with a list to apply technical analysis to. Books by Berg, Guppy, Wilson etc provide a start on that. My charting/analysis package is AmiBroker at about $200 with EOD data from Norgate at about $800 P/A for Aus and US data.

I second JoeA's suggestion: Pulse (without the "i") and MarketScan are part of my daily routine. I believe Pulse is based on Metastock, but I'm not certain of that. I use it in its native form with all real-time bells and whistles that I cherish for mainly Technical Analysis. MarketScan is strong in both: TA and FA. Last night, I posted some extended snapshots that may help explain the MarketScan - which btw has been significantly upgraded.
Click to https://www.aussiestockforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21437 and scroll down a few posts to the two replies of mine that show screenshots of Paritech's apps.

If you're just beginning and find that software prices are "too steep", there is always IncredibleCharts that you may want to try: http://www.incrediblecharts.com/

Thankyou, i will review Pulse and MarketScan a little more, but ye the price is quite steep atm, so i will most definetly test out incredible charts that looks good.

Thankyou so much forum, been very helpful
