The admin. fees of holding individual international shares and accounting charges tend to be higher . O.S. tax regulators know next to nothing about SMSF's here , and their paperwork is somewhat complicated . Their share dividends come unfranked while in the pension phase in this country , any unused franking credits are refunded , free.
So , probably easier to stick to ETF's , I would think .
