I am an Australian citizen based in Sydney and would like to know what the best way is to trade Indian stocks from Australia? Any advice or tips most appreciated.

Very simple. I am encouraged by the back-testing I have done on the Nifty indices so curious to put it into practice.

Did you find out how to trade in the Indian market @wmorton? I'm looking into this aswell. Seems you need to like register a business in India first?!

I'm trying to find a broker to use. I think you can use Interactive Brokers but need to register through the Indian site/subsidiary.

Many here on ASF have thought of trading on the Nifty but found the process too onerous and use $AUD denominated ASX listed ETF's now.

indeed , i resorted the ASX listed ETFs and LICs with an Asian focus
