IG Markets - Platform Faults & Gotchas

Following your link I did'nt find the library and they do not appear to have ASX data. Sorry but I'm missing the point as to how you integrate this with IG.
IG already have this as their software although it is tailored for them, the coding on the extra signals, templates etc works fine.
As for the library I think you need to login, (registration is free) This company are nothing to do with IG but are one of the places offering charting packages etc. I only use the software and asx prices offered by IG.

Can you give me a overall on how to avoid making the mistake, as havent used it yet...
Are you using Puredeal platform, as nearly got caught holding a position when a deal ticket frooze and couldn't close out position...

basically i was holding a long position on asx200 which was to cover some shorts which are now in profit, but the long was way out of profit. So this morning I decided to short some more preopen but because I didnt click the force open which would have entered it as a seperate trade, this mornings short just cancelled out my long so I lost all the deficit which was there. My own stupid mistake but easily done.
Anyway my papers are In for a brokerone/MFglobal futures account so I'm going to try that instead.

Anyone else having same problem since Yestersday morning......
No chart updates, on simple or advanced (frozen)
Just rang another broker there, and he says he's not aware of problem, and it is my pc, despite another broker telling me yesterday morning it was widespread and they're looking at it...
IMO IG has very poor resolution & communications with their clients.

I've been using the L2 platform for a long time now and haven't had any problems... ever. On the L2 you can do the DMA as well as the OTC type CFD trades.. happy as a pig in shorts me..
