How many ASX shares until you invest offshore?

What amount of companies or what $ size of your portfolio did you get to until you started buying overseas shares to diversify a bit and benefit from other economies other than Australia?

eg. Porfolio size got to 50k. You had invested in 3 ASX companies and then decided to buy 20k worth of shares in US or UK markets.

Just saying that ASX is heavily weighted in mining and financials and companies in overseas markets have exposure to a lot of different industries.

I have 22 ASX stocks and find im at about the upper limit of possible ASX listed diversification....and im only holding 1 miner.

Aus has pretty much everything important barring Tech. If you're buying US equities just be wary of FX exposure.
Although seeing AUD at historic highs, 'diversifying' into foreign currency stocks may be beneficial a few years down the track.

If I have more than 20m I would diversify oversea
below that figure I'm happy to stack the lot here

You dont have to expose to mining or financial if you don't want to

I have 1 miner and ccp and ccv as financial, none of the big 4 banks
