Hehehe. That passage conveys quite a bit. Aussie women don't usually admit throwing hysterics is the ace card women hold Also, I expect that "I need your attention" isn't quite as formal-sounding in Italian as that translation seems to our ears.

I find curling up in foetal position in the corner and waiting till it's all over (which may last for hours) the best strategy for survival.

I find that wandering over to the shed and pottering there until the cooler breezes come forth is the best place to hide.

I always find "shut up and make me a sandwich" works a treat.

After I wake from the resulting coma, the conflict is well behind me and I got to catch up on some sleep.
