Hey guys I'm new here and haven't been trading for long just starting to learn.

I would like to know how can I buy shares in a company when they do cap raising. What I mean is buying the shares at discounted price? Do I just place the order or I need to contact my broker or the company?

Sorry if I sound knob just can't seem to find the answer on the net.

Thank you
Arian

Re: How to buy shares when capital raising

they usually send u out the share application form via snail mail , or email with all the details on it . i.e amount you are entitled to buy and how to pay etc etc

thats IF you are holding the stock on the required dates to be eligible for any offers / raisings they handing out

Thanks heaps nunthewiser. One more question how long would it take get the application when the company announce the cap raising? I heard only first few lucky orders can be eligible discounted shares. Is that correct?

all depends on how far the RECORD date is from the original cap raise announcement etc etc .

re lucky orders ..again , all depends on the individual raising . some companys do it via a % of what you hold etc , others do it on a first come first served basis , others just give cheapies to the bigger investors

all varies , read the ann,s for the individual company it involves
