the resource boom is justified. The issue here is not going to be a total market collapse - not soon anyway as demand is much greater than supply.The issue is that some stocks are upto almost ridiculous market caps with no reason so but on pure speculation. The only stocks who are actually benefiting from a high commodity price are companies which are CURRENTLY mining and selling the stuff or who have large resource pools which means that they are a takeover target. Everything else is speculation . BUT REMEMBER who dares wins................or loses

The accuracy of Costello's predictions will like any prediction on trends be tested by the future facts. He certainly has an agenda though, which isn't well hidden. Disappointing from a seasoned treasurer like him. But hey, being a PR, I can't vote...

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about about Costello's warning.
It sounded to me like nothing more than common sense general advice. Whether he had an agenda we don't know with certainty but it would be very hard for anyone to convince me that his motives were to encourage investors to jump off resources atm and into TLS now or if/when T3 comes around.
My guess he was basically just looking out for the inexperienced mug punters jumping on resources and putting all their eggs in them without fully understanding the risks or implications.
I don't see his comments anywhere near as ill-informed, deliberately misleading and ramped as some of the blatant unsubstantiated ramping of stocks you could see in various chatrooms (but obviously not on ASF
)
