We're looking at selling our house online. Has anyone here already done this and was the experience good, bad or indifferent? Did your house sell and how long did it take?

When you say online, what exactly do you mean?? Are you talking thru sites such as RealEstate.com.au or Domain.com.au or something different? I would say that 99.99% of real estate agents would use these sites or similar and quite common for private sellers to do similar.

I have used "propertyshop.com" who put up a sign and all the rest online, fee was 1% sold in four weeks. If you are not pressed time is not the essence, know the fair value of the property from your own enquiries and stick to that.

There are a lot of sites offerring to do it, some for flat fees of around $400 and about $100 per month till the property is sold.

There is a good book on the subject IMHO called "Selling your home without agents" I have loaned it to brotherinlaw so and cant remember the writer. In such a case I would only use a fully qualified solicitor to do the conveyancing for peace of mind, and get that sorted before you put a sign up. Sometimes the bloke across the road will want it straight away.
