Does anyone trade with these guys? any thoughts?
I trade futures only.
Or should i go with IB? however their platform is a little confusing and the fees also and you pay full size margin requirements. Well im only starting with 50k.

look forward to your thoughts

cheers

Halifax Investments

G'day. We have been involved with Halifax in Melbourne now for over 6 months and have been consistently disappointed in their every attempt to make US money. I stress "US" as they're doing OK on commissions. We have now been told that Andrew Baxter of Elite Traders is involved with Halifax and having read/heard reports here and from friends of his disgraceful efforts we are afraid that Halifax Melbourne are running a similar "scam" - particularly because their methods of trading - sms a trade and ask for "yes" reply with a very short window of time in which to do so - are exactly the same. We hate to sound like whingers but we have always been paid on performance in our lives and these blokes we reckon owe us thousands!
Can anyone shed any light as to their voracity or otherwise?

Knothead, take your money out immediately. I had some money with them and they are liars. Complete scum. If you need more info, PM me.

Your posting history is interesting. What's up with that????

Yeh,i've had problems with Halifax, most of what they told me before I opened an account wasn't what happened after my account was opened, and they said that I was to blame for not spotting their misinformation earlier, they then balmed their platform provider, Saxo Bank, for the issues. Too many of the cfd providers are the same, very helpfull until there's a problem then they don't return your calls, they never lose money so they don't care! These guys will be responsible for bringing down cfd trading because they don't believe that they will get away with it for ever, but until then they will fleece as many people as possible, and it's a waste of time reporting them to ASIC, that's a lost cause.

Hahahah Halifax Investments has one of the shonkiest trading platforms around..the interface is complete rubbish..the reliability of it is woeful...and they are always blaming Saxo for it. Your stop losses will mysteriously disappear and you will be exposed to huge losses cos the software has bugs.
Trident Confidential push the advertising of this shonky mob very hard (for the obvious kickbacks).. dont be sucked in.
