Lest we not forget that in his celluloid tribute to junk science, “the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.”

As a frame of reference, “[t]he average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy.”

By contrast, in 2006, Dr. Global Warming “devoured nearly 221,000 kWh””more than 20 times the national average.”

Inconvenient truth for Al Gore as his North Pole sums don't add up

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

Good for Dr Maslowski. I wonder how much fantasy constituted Al Gore's award winning film "An Inconvenient Truth"?

It looks as though the Copenhagen talk fest is very unlikely to produce any binding agreements. Hopefully the result of this will be that more time can be allowed for more truths such as the above contradiction by Dr Maslowski to emerge.

Mr Gore can now go home to his extremely well lighted mansion, likely via private jet. Do as I say, etc.
