Is this thread any different from the "Time to pull stumps" thread?
Possibly not.

I would also like to bring to your attention that we have two similar threads "Important people who died recently" and "Well known people who died recently" which has caused a number of duplications.

A thread merge would seem appropriate?

There are quite a few "died" threads. Some similar to one another, some not. I haven't checked on "deceased", "met his maker", "mortal coil" nor "Norwegian Blues".

The love of my life has died: How can I ever be free to live again?

The love of my life hasn't died. Nonetheless it seems almost every month a friend or relative is falling sick or falling off the perch. One day it will be me. I'm sure every other person on ASF goes through the same trauma. This is a very thoughtful "Ask Phillipa" question. Powerful story...

Not widely known people who died however recently

Thread to cover people not many new or lived ordinary lives in general. Maybe relatives, friends or that person who did something or even a great deal but hardly anyone in Australia or beyond new them or ever heard of their existence. Perhaps they did nearly zero but suffered a great deal. Or...

2017 - The Year Volatility Died

Found this an interesting read. https://pensionpartners.com/the-year-volatility-died/ Linda Raschke is always talking about markets alternating between high and low volatility. Yikes, may be time to fasten seatbelts and buy some Bear Hedge ETFs! Has certainly been fascinating watching the VIX...

  8. 2010 - The Year Mr. Free Market Died

Unbelievable. This is the beginning of the end of Mr "Free Market". Even the Germans are hopping on to the 'Ve must be bannink all off der shortzers' bandvagon. So, how are penny stocks going to survive if swings of + or - 10% are jumped on? Those sort of swings can happen many multiple...

Is this thread any different from the "Time to pull stumps" thread?
I've got the problem of having 2 of most tools, and 3 of some, due to being unable to find the first one when needed over the years, or it's broken down mid use and not timely to fix before finishing said task.

I think farmer has the same issue here with his ASF threads.

I've tried using the search function here on ASF to find tools in my garage, but alas, it doesn't find them.

Reminder to self, 2 of the 3 chainsaws are currently in the mud room.
Goooodnight Irene and @Garpal Gumnut

I will stick with "Goodnight" from now on.
So, to all it is Goodnight from me and him.

The Bloke in the Mirror is somewhat unhappy as I have only given him the nod of "him" when I bade Goodnight.
Goodnight everyone.

Tired and weary after a particularly hard day. Time to make the call.
Good night from Me and Him.

Got to be off.
Busy day tomorrow, culminating with a trip to my orchardist mate's place for a load of 2nds fruit for the bovines.

As the body is weary, the eyes tired it is time to hit the Slumber King.
Until tomorrow, Goodnight from Me and Goodnight from Him.

Today was a bit more than trying. Sat in the truck queue at the fertiliser works for more than 4 hours waiting to be loaded after having a 11am loading slot. So, from Me and Him it is Good Night Me Lovelies!!!!

So, from Me and Him 'tis goodnight.
Got a couple of fences that have been vandalised to repair before the bovines find them and wander into the 1st peoples sacred piece of burnt bush.

Time to bale out and listen to the rain falling outside and hitting the window.
So from Me and Him goodnight "me lovelies'

Nothing like hitting the sack for a kip and listening to the rain falling/hitting the bedroom window.
