By the way the US Commander of the Iraq war fainted while sitting down recently while doing nothing more than chatting. What do you make of that? Weak gender? Weak commander? Too much work for anyone but super man??
Already knew about her and Emerson. Her private life is her own, and he seems like a decent guy. But it does lend support to my assertion that her power base within the ALP is the Unions. Union executive membership is a conveyor belt to ALP membership, such as Bill Shorten, Greg Combet, and Jennie George (who is retiring next time). And Gillard as a lawyer represented the AWU in wage cases.
I think she is an impressive politician and think she will be a good leader, but vehemently opposed to her ideology. On this basis alone I oppose her.

Gillard may be next one for knife, warns Latham The modern Labor Party is obsessed with opinion polls and no longer retains loyalty for its leaders, according to deposed Labor leader Mark Latham.
The controversial figure today predicted Prime Minister Julia Gillard would be next for the knife because key ALP figures hated her.
‘‘(Deputy Prime Minister) Wayne Swan is no fan of hers,’’ Mr Latham said today, following the dramatic appointment of Australia's first female prime minister. "Gillard has, for reasons I never quite understood, enormous animosity from people like (Anthony) Albanese and (Lindsay) Tanner and (Jenny) Macklin. "I don’t know what they did down there in the Victorian Left in the '80s and '90s but they hate each other.’'
Mr Latham hit out at the factional chiefs he saw as driving the party.
While he believed Mr Rudd's leadership was terminal and that Ms Gillard had no choice but to step into the void, Mr Latham warned the new Prime Minister that she may be "the next one for the knife" once her honeymoon period wears off.
The factional chiefs were the very people she had previously described as being the "dark side" of the party, he said.
"Now she's in in bed with them (the factions) I think that she will have to live with those consequences for quite some time," Mr Latham said.
He said Mr Rudd's victory in 2007 was "miraculous", and for that reason he would always be a Labor hero.
However, many of those people who rode on his coat tails to victory in 2007 had deserted him yesterday.
"It just proves in the Labor Party now there is no loyalty to the leader," he said.
"It's a poll-driven party. There's very little that will happen in the next couple of months that will be about programs and hard decisions in the national interest.
"It's as if the modern Labor Party is so focused on polling, so focused on marketing, so focused on communications 101 that it's given up the task of getting these hard reforms through."
He described Ms Gillard as a "very skilled political technician" and believed there was no evidence she was plotting to become the Prime Minister.
It had been brought about by Mr Rudd's own "folly" in charging his trusted chief-of-staff, Alister Jordan, with gauging support for the leader in the wake of bad polls.
A news report detailing the canvassing would have caused Gillard to feel betrayed, Mr Latham said.
"There's no evidence of Gillard plotting, and I think that's to her credit," he said.
"If she initiated it, you can bet your best dollar that that would have ended up in the media."

I don't agree that it is a definition of prejudice. It is a statement of fact. Why do the men and women have separate competitions at Wimbleton. I suggest that men have more stanima than women. Does she have the stanima for the job. I doubt that half the men would have kept the pace required so there is a little more of a question regarding a female.

So you don't think the events of the last two days were engineered by the factions and the unions? You don't think Julia Gillard is going to be owing the unions big time after they all swung in behind her and ensured Kevin Rudd was pushed out in the most humiliating way?
