Australian (ASX) Stock Market Forum

GCM is my pick in the August Competition.

One needs to understand it is a punt. See my previous posts above

It believes it has considerable quantities of graphite, a rare compound. Graphite is the largest component in a Lithium-Ion Battery and requires the largest production increase of any battery mineral.

Dear Sir/Madam and @Garpal Gumnut ,
In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, Green Critical Minerals Limited (ASX:GCM) requests a trading halt pending the release of test results in relation to the Mcintosh Graphite Project.

The Company requests that the trading halt be lifted on the earlier of commencement of normal trading on Friday the 11th August 2023 or when the anticipated announcement is released to the market.

Don't follow this one, but I see the recent cap raise shares (132 million) allocated to the sophisticated chaps were "issued" yesterday (9th Aug)

Makes the timing of the T/Halt interesting. :cautious:

It is one of the advantages of being unsophisticated that one never goes to bed of a night 25% down having parted with good cash to an outfit less than 24 hours the day before.

On with the show.

Indeed Mr Garps! There could be (maybe not? ) a few unhappy "well dressed" punters after the news. Surely management would have had some idea the flake sizes were not up to the normal "Kellogg's" variety ..... prior to handing the donation plate around?? :cautious:

At an uneducated glance the news didn't seem bad enough for a near 30% drop??

If there is any less than squeaky clean behavior at play, normal Spec behavior will now include further tests showing much improved results, and the SP bouncing back to where it was, or higher ..... with lots of not so "well dressed" punters "donating" their holdings at the lows, and all feeling like these guys...:oops::bawling:

Who doesn't love Specs:happy:

The wording is , er, um, curious ... but it seems they've got a long way to go for a pathway of consistent commercial product.

" ..Out of an abundance of caution, and in-light of the Company’s proposed issue of securities from the recently announced Placement (refer to ASX release 02 August 2023), the Company has decided to release an update on the preliminary results received to date.

At this stage, SGS has only performed a single polishing stage followed by three stages of cleaner flotation to achieve approximately 51% C(t) concentrate grade. Test work will progress with the upgrading process using additional polishing and cleaner stages to achieve >95% C(t) final concentrate grade.

Once the next stage of testing is complete by SGS, GCM will follow up with further Metallurgical test work based on its own core samples from its recently completed 2023 drilling campaign to more accurately test and better understand flake size distribution across the Emperor Deposit. These recently acquired samples from the 2023 drilling will better test for variability of flake size across the deposit including the higher-grade eastern limb which potentially has a different flake size distribution again....

Yeah, I don't recall ever seeing a Company Announcement quite like that DF. In a couple of months' time we can look back in 20 20 hindsight and see what they were actually saying :cautious:

And now, a two day TH, till Thursday, after the earlier Pause.

..requests a trading halt pending an announcement in respect of the previously announced capital raising.

Might be fighting off multiple offers?

seem to have focused on the Macintosh graphite play in Sept.

(end Sept, got a bit more than one million in the bank)

...and announced a lift in resource in last few days:

Discovery hole GCMDD003 targeting the limb and depth extension of the Emperor deposit has intersected a 250m @ 3.9% graphite zone from 129m, intersecting a previously unknown and untested repeat graphite zone below the Emperor resource, significantly increasing its scale .
• The Emperor deposit is now known to have graphite mineralisation from 30m to a vertical depth of 320m making it a substantial bulk mining opportunity, being 1km in strike, 250m in width and up to 250m thickness.
• The width and thickness of the Emperor graphitic schist unit is unparalleled compared to other more tabular vertical dipping deposits, with the geometry of the deposit being highly amenable to large open pit mining.
• Assays for the new discovery zone shows graphite mineralisation of 172m (from 207m to 379m) averaging 3.83%
.

though 4 per cent is only really exciting if you were hoping for 2%.

Unfortunately I hold. I bought close to the high at the left hand side of the chart. After what seemed like a good discussion with some characters lol at the Post Office Hotel in Camooweal. A long ways from the McIntosh field, even for those joined via the dreamtime.

Anyways, there you go. Hopefully some fool finds the elixir of life there and it goes to $10.

Numbers on an announcement today.

8.7 is 1.3.

I see from one of @barney 's daily asx announcements that GCM are scraping near Boulia. This coincides with my yearly midwinter date with the Min Min near Boulia which is where they are grubbing as luck would have it.

I'll have a looksee.
