Not sure about belting that shark it only looks to be about 1m ???? I think it could have gone back...


Some good fish around at the moment I got 12 Kings in Sydney Harbour on the weekend...

Looks good, how did you cook the lobsters out on the boat?

campers hotplate and a pot. i think he's got a generator on the boat aswell
the moment we pulled them up in the pots we drowned them and chucked them straight in the cooker. chilled them for a few hours and bang, crays for lunch

yeh, the shark, our captain claims to know what he was doing, I wouldn't have a clue whether it was big enough, it looked a bit over 3.5ft to my eye, whether thats big enough or not i don't know

Sharks that size is the best eating. Any bigger and they get heavy metals buildup...

The old "Flake" for fish & chips, good stuff. Not that much arround the fish 'n chip shops now, all imported stuff.

How big were the King fish? I'm told there a a lot of undersize king fish in the harbour lately, bodes well for the future when they grow. Best thing done in the NSW Fisheries was the banning of King Fish traps and trawling in the harbour. Now if they could work out how to clean up the Parramatta river.

Testing the image uploaded from my iPhone, a large barracuda I had thought was a decent mackerel till I got it to the boat!
