FAL - Falcon Metals

Haven't read it but someone must've!
Multiple high grade intercepts at Ironbark East (Victorian Gold fields prospect)

FAL chart looking good with an obvious level of resistance @ 0.35 overcome today.
The linked article reckons fy22 made a record for Victorian exploration expenditure. Surprising considering the snail's pace of progress to a casual observer.

It's only obliquely relevant to FAL but the GSV (Geological Survey of Victoria) - the organ responsible for the scientific assessment (hype?) that there is as much gold hidden under Murray Basin sediment as was mined to the south in the 19thC Victorian gold rush - now opines that there is likely a mineralised system of comparable scale in basalts under the Heathcote area. Heathcote I read is 40kms SE of Bendigo and had its own gold rush starting 1852 but it was mostly surface diggings. Maybe FAL will get a taste down the track? The old Chalice Gold (CHN) was aggressive about picking up tenements in the Bendigo terrane.

Kind of interesting vid about the terrane (not a recommendation)

Good morning

Nice 15.38% gain on Friday (12/04/24) with published 1/4erly March Activities report (kindly find attached).

Cash 1/4erly burn $1.41 million. $13 650 000 left to spend - 9.7 quarters...

Nice gain too in early March with the high-grade mineral sands finds at Pyramid Hill prospect ... but but but FAL is a goldie ... diversification ha ha ha ha ha ha beauty ...

Assay results received included a high-grade primary gold intercept at the base of infill aircore hole PHAC1975 near the town of Pyramid Hill returning 3m @ 8.1g/t Au from 121m, including 1m @ 24.0g/t Au from 123m
• PHAC1975 was drilled 140m to the east of a previous drilling result in PHAC1359 that intersected 4m @ 0.47g/t Au from 137m including 1m @ 1.53g/t Au from 139m1
• The high-grade intercept in PHAC1975 was from the final metre, so its significance remains uncertain until results from the current phase of follow-up drilling are received, with assays expected in May 2024
• Regional gold reconnaissance aircore drilling ongoing including programs near Pyramid Hill and Maryborough, which have generated several new target areas with bedrock intercepts >1g/t Au

Hmmmm

FAL @ 0.24
Up 50% intraday
I expect it to retrace.

More thick high grade HMC (heavy mineral concentrate/content) shallow aircore drillings at Farrelly prospect in Victoria. Origin an "ancient beach" on the edge of the Murray Basin.

Not much intetested - maybe they can sell or jv it off. Finding Bendigo style gold elsewhere under Murray Basin cover the faint hope.

Take it to the bank. It's from Stonkhead.

"Bendigo-focused goldie Falcon Metals is also into mineral sands, and it’s the latter resource that’s the wind beneath its wings today – soaring it roughly 50% at the time of key tapping.

Falcon has has received high-grade results for its 91-hole aircore (AC) drilling program at its Farrelly mineral sands prospect in Victoria, which is a follow-up on high-grade reconnaissance drilling results announced in early March.

The new results confirm Farrelly as a high-grade mineral sands discovery with a thick zone of mineralisation (Main Zone) now defined covering an area of about 1,200 metres by 600 metres and remaining open in several directions.

Significant drill intercepts include: 26m at 8.9% THM (total heavy mineral concentrate) from 6m, with 15m at 12.9% THM from 13m; and 22m at 9.2% THM from 8m, including 12m at 15.1% THM from 16m as well as 3m at 20.3% THM from 21m.

The company also notes that “several additional high-grade intercepts up to 5km from the discovery indicate a potentially significant scale strandline-style system which requires further drilling to define”.

Zircon, ilmenite, and rutile are in play here, as well as potential rare-earth-element bearing monazite and xenotime, which are in-demand critical minerals.

In addition to being used as components in many household uses, mineral sands are being increasingly used in energy transition infrastructure.

Falcon Metals’ MD Tim Markwell said:

“The results at Farrelly are quite outstanding and define what appears to be a discovery of a continuous zone of high-grade heavy mineral sands over a sizable area, which remains open.

“While it is early days in our understanding of Farrelly, with more drilling and test work required, it is shaping up to become a significant mineral sands deposit, in proximity to other major deposits, but at far higher grades.”

FAL smashed. Victorian landowners denying access to one of FAL's prospects, the heavy mineral sands one.
Alex Dorsch has certainly lost his patina of magic these days. I admit to once being a fanboi of him and Tim Goyer. He's on FAL's board, few extra bob. FAL's tenements used to belong to Chalice (CHN) and were floated off.

Mt Jackon Project (Western Australia)

Results from a ground Moving Loop Electromagnetic 'thingamebob' identified multiple conductors considered prospective for nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation, in addition to a well-defined gold soil anomaly.

Moreover:

27 September 2024 announcement and attached:
Drilling Commences at Mt Jackson Gold and Base Metals Project
• Maiden drilling program underway at Mt Jackson with an aircore (AC) rig testing a 1km long gold-in-soil anomaly
• A reverse circulation (RC) drill rig is mobilising to site to target multiple high-conductance EM plates prospective for massive sulphides
• Falcon expects to complete ~50 AC holes and 5 RC holes over the 3-week drill program
• Results expected in Q4 2024

Farrelly Mineral Sands Project (Victoria)

Preliminary metallurgical test work conducted confirmed high-grade deposit has favourable metallurgical characteristics with no notable processing issues. [nice] In particular, that the Heavy Mineral Concentrate produced has a coarser grain size relative to other Victorian deposits, indicating potential for simplified processing and higher recoveries. [even nicer] Further test work is planned ... engagement with landowners around Farrelly to gain access to undertake further drilling may be problematic...
@finicky re: FAL's Land Access announcement crisis... :) are you aware of any more info???

Pyramid Hill Gold Project (Victoria)
In FY2024, Falcon completed 39,850 meters of aircore infill and reconnaissance drilling. It had been reported cumulatively, in excess of 200,000 meters of aircore drilling has been completed throughout the 7,000 km² land holding, generating multiple targets for follow up drilling. Drilling will resume later in 2024 to continue the regional screening, as well as vectoring in on some of these higher priority targets. [hmmmmm]

Hi @rcw1, no information on it. Don't follow. FAL is just a legacy holding from the Chalice spin-off so I barely follow it. Just treat it as a perpetual lottery ticket. Maybe they'll find another Bendigo style deposit under Murray basin cover - obviously low chance. I took no interest whatsoever in the mineral sands project.
