Ex-dividend date

For CBA it says “most recent ex-dividend date was 19-02-2020.“ Does that mean if I buy it now I won’t get the dividend until next year?

You won't get the 19-02-2020 one but there usually is one in August too. Generally it's paid every 6 Months. But with the virus and dividends under threat who knows, the August one might not be like usual.
