Etrade not reliable

This morning for nearly half hour I can't see the market depth on Etrade and when I tried to sell ANZ at $17, the order was rejected due to that "the code ANZ is not a valid equity" -, so I missed the price.

I also have a Commsec account and thinking to transfer all my holding from etrade to it because Commsec website is faster and more reliable than etrade.

I know I need to download a form from commsec but how long will it take to transfer and how much Etrade will charge me for that?

Thanks for the help.

LOL commsec ...... and reliable in same sentence ??? .ooops sorry for that but that made me giggle . protraders 1 and 2 about the most unreliable platforms i have ever seen , there customer service is a joke but hey there cheap . i moved to etrade and never looked back , luvvem to bits , even get a xmas hamper off them each year :)

82,

I used to use E*trade and i experienced the same problem as you, and a bit more. I told them time and time again what the problems were, but nothing was ever done. Instead, they seemed more interested in presenting a 'good looking' site.

I don't want to bag E*Trade, but their platform isn't that good. I was even asked why i was changing brokers when i moved and i repeated to them the same problems i identified in the surveys. I just got sick of trying to tell them.

Moving brokers is free, but it will take a few days for your stock to transfer...

Good luck!

Hmmm.

Broken platform on the open - that's CommSec's trick on capitulation days.

During the transfer, can you still trade your shares ?

Thanks

You can still trade them. Original broker will deliver until they are transferred to new HIN. Can't see why it would take a few days though.

Etrade was delayed yesterday avo, market depth wasn't updating.

Get what you pay for though i guess.
