Elon Musk

Elon has money and truckloads of it.
Money means power.

have worked previously where data centers kept Apple phones 'safe ' because of Siri

'leaky software ' is nothing new for Apple
@divs4ever I do possess an Apple I phone, but that is all it is, just a receiver and sender of calls, the weather and stock market.
There is nothing, nooooothing on my phone that is of any importance to anyone, unless of course they want to run my business.

The post poses a good question Bas, why do so many support bullies like Trump and Musk?
Maybe it is because so many feel bullied already, yet are powerless to defend themselves, so they support and enpower people who they feel can take on the current bullies.
Maybe that's why there is such a strong right wing swing worldwide, who knows?
But there has to be a reason.

Bullies on the world stage Isn't there enough of them now.
Putrid probably being the worst of the present bunch of low lifes.

This article explains it.

1) Populism: A strongman leader is bolstered by a cult of personality, appealing to common citizens and making them feel like he’s one of them. He manages to do this in paradoxical ways: While he may have a macho, alpha-male personality, he also plays the victim to gain people’s sympathy—for example, the US’s Donald Trump and Italy’s Silvio Berlusconi both claimed they were victims of a witch hunt. To give them a positive image both domestically and abroad, strongmen also hire public relations firms.

Additionally, Rachman (The Age of the Strongman) says that the new authoritarians tend to be “nostalgic nationalists”—they inspire nationalistic fervor by promising to bring back their country’s glory days. For example, Donald Trump’s stated aim was to “make America great again”; other leaders like Russia’s Valdimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping have expressed similar sentiments for their own countries. According to some, one damaging by-product of this nationalist fixation is their tendency to be climate change skeptics: Their nationalist aims aren’t aligned with big issues requiring international cooperation, so they deny that climate change is a problem or downplay it by saying it’s a globalist plot to take advantage of the masses.

2) Polarization: Strongmen often trumpet an “us versus them” narrative; there is no longer a political middle ground. Anyone seen as disagreeing with them can’t be trusted and must thus be kept out of power by any means, write Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt in How Democracies Die. An example of this in action is the January 6 insurrection, which attempted to overturn the results of the US presidential election.

3) Post-truth politics: Many accuse strongman leaders of muddying the waters with disinformation—leveraging the internet and social media—to create public confusion about what is true. As Imelda Marcos, wife of deposed Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., says, “Perception is real, but the truth is not.” (It’s worth noting that the Marcoses themselves have apparently learned from their past mistakes. After being booted out of the country in 1986, the family is back in power: Ferdinand Jr. won the 2022 presidential election through a campaign that relied heavily on historical revisionism and misinformation. His sister is a senator, and his son—a rookie member of congress—is now the senior deputy majority leader.)

Yes, too many of them and everywhere. Social media has helped grow new types of 'bullies', like mushrooms in dark rooms, they keep sprouting and spouting. These 'bullies' will shout you down for expressing a view they don't like, they go on and on, posting continually from their high horse.

They don't like Elon because he puts his money where his mouth is and does not back down against the tirade from the new-wave social climate bullies.

Here's one of the current newsworthy bullies -

CFMEU Victorian leader John Setka has threatened to impose a “work to rule” campaign against the AFL on any league-related projects, including the proposed Tasmanian stadium, unless the league sacks the former building watchdog Stephen McBurney as its head of umpiring.
Asked if the union campaign had implications for the proposed Hobart stadium, Mr Setka told The Australian: “I think it will have implications for the AFL right across Australia. We have an obligation to pursue anti-union, anti-worker f..kers like him and we will until the end of the earth.
“This is going to cost the AFL a lot of f..king money. I hope it’s worth it. Projects without our full co-operation are going to be a f..king misery for them.
“They will regret the day they ever employed him.”

I'm not sure what security issues Elon is concerned about. Maybe it is because Apple is going to use a third party, ChatGPT, and allow its AI to access to users' phones. Which opens up a whole new line of security issues, such as; what are the rules for the AI, can the AI be hacked?

Apple devices will now be able to read personal information to find specific photographs of family members or friends, assess traffic and proofread texts.
Apple Intelligence was built in-house by the company to use “generative models with personal context to deliver intelligence”.
But Apple has also joined a growing list of companies which have decided that partnering with other AI developers is far more efficient.
If a user’s request is too complex for Siri and Apple Intelligence, she will provide the user with the option to ask ChatGPT instead.

Elon moves more of his companies out of California.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, reposted one of Musk’s posts on X and said that the SpaceX move “cements Texas as the leader in space exploration.”

And they do not care about co2 footprint,
am not up to date with modern rocket fuels , but CO2 wasn't a by product when a classmate ( at high-school ) was messing with this stuff

( not 100% safe , but no carbon compounds used )
