Elon Musk to make Twitter a free speech platform

Going to be awesome when we end up in a C40 city with you flogs arguing the benefits of our enforced vegetarian diet and calorie restrictions (yep its a real thing Planetary Health Diet)and compulsory evs. We become basically farm animals herded like sheep.

Oh before I get "nonsense" go study up C40 cities and for where the WEF want to push the world. Don't worry too much though as Sydney and Melbourne already joined up.

Every right is important at this stage.

I'd like to know why the government & the eSafety Commission have banned a factual news item but ignore the pornography industry -

"Criminologists say leaders must be prepared to take a wider view of domestic violence prevention when the national cabinet convenes for an urgent meeting today. With over 6,000 supporters, Daniel Principe is urging the Australian government to enforce age verification on pornography sites, with the aim of shielding children from early exposure to explicit content."

All crime has been trending down. Sexual assault has seen a blip from .4 to .5%.
Unless you have data on offenders it could be put down to a number of things. One of them being reports taken seriously by police, or immigrants adjusting to our laws.

But the overall trend is down by a lot of the last decade. The idea we get to zero% crime is ridiculous and would involve massively intrusive laws.

Ban stuff off the net isn't going to change anything. It's been the most open and divisive the last decade and all crime is still trending down.

Have I got this right, parts of our government, bureaucracy and universities want the incident of the stabbing of a Christian priest banned but the causes can be left to fester?

Fair comment -

"What is so interesting about the whole Israel - Hamas issue is how it has totally exposed the hypocrisy of academia, and the woke left generally. For years they have been virtue-signaling their support of anti-fascism, anti-racism, anti-misogynism, anti-transphobia etc. However, the moment a TRULY fascist, racist, misogynistic, trans-phobic organisation deliberately targets innocent civilians, women, young girls, and children (including at a Peace Festival!!) in Israel, then the woke left throw all their other ideals out the window and support the terrorists. It is unbelievable. It paints their ideology in stark colours for all to see. Their wokism is not some loving warm embrace of kindness for people, but the same old Marxist resentment and hatred of all their usual targets, including Jews. It beggars' belief that we have to fight this battle against it again. How many tens of millions of lives will be lost this century before we learn (again) that this is NOT the path to some glorious utopian future but to an utterly devastating civilisational wasteland."

Sexual assault is wrong in my above post the trend is up.

Could this be why the government is distracting us?

"This is not the first time that foreign fights have seeped into Australian politics and it’s not the first time that religious activists have influenced our public life. But it is the first time in our history that religious pressure has been put on our leaders to take a position that’s at odds with our national interests and our national values.
"Labor frontbenchers, such as Tony Burke and Jason Clare (whose electorates are more than 30 per cent Muslim), failed to condemn unequivocally the October 7 atrocities, have supported local councils flying the Palestinian flag and have told local Muslims that they’re advocating for them in cabinet. The Albanese government only briefly suspended aid to the UN agency active in Gaza, despite clear evidence that much of it has been channelled to Hamas and that staff were involved in the October 7 killings.
Anthony Albanese was very slow to make a solidarity call to his Israeli counterpart after October 7, despite the terrorist murder of an elderly Australian, but was almost immediately in critical contact when an Israeli drone strike mistakenly killed an Australian aid worker."

Interesting -

My problem is I keep forgeting the 'rules of engagment ' as applies to these forums.
***
*First you make your cockhanded, unsupportable or overblown assertion.. and then repeat it.
*Then being exposed as blowing off both your feet with your own Blunderbus....make note of Blunder. ..
*You then declare victory and hoble away on the stumps. .... 'werks evry tyme"

I had Bowden's chearful, curly receading visage in my minds eye when I was thinking of Neil Davis... the good die young, or are shot dead... What was that girls name who was targeted by the IDF...Shireen Abu Akleh . everything old is new agian.
Bowden's book I've never read but remember his heart felt pieces to camera, and for good reason, at the time he was promoting it.

Cheers Focucs... Knowing that there's people out there that know stuff; it helps, a lot.

Sexual assault is wrong in my above post the trend is up.

Maybe it is. Inclination to report is probably increasing over time, though: what used to be a matter of private shame is now an opportunity for "empowerment", telling "your" truth etc. But a government making a mountain out of a molehill is somewhere in the same family of strategies as a false flag - i.e. you create a big scary problem and the populace beg for their freedoms to be (permanently) diminished to deal with it.

It's trended from the "me too" years.
Increased reporting once it became mainstream.

It's a tough time for Chardonnay Commies.

It's a tough time for Chardonnay Commies.

Most of them think that the world revolves around their own BS, quote a few books and authors and saunter off with a tear or two about the injustices of history. Emotionally drunk with contempt of a life that makes them feel guilty, but too afraid to join a cause at ground level, their courage only goes as far as throwing verbal insults and threats at a society that has prospered for centuries.

Interesting change of attack on social media by wannabe commies right now. Before the enemy was just "the right-wingers" now they are specifically naming "liberals" (as in freedom/rights not the party). Noticed it the last 3 weeks.

Obviously they all read from the same source or being pushed from the same template from head activists.

The Federal Court has made a preliminary decision -

A temporary order by Australia’s eSafety commissioner to block Australians from viewing footage of the alleged terrorist stabbing attack of Sydney bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel has been refused, in a win for tech giant X.
Barrister Bret Walker SC, representing X Corp with law firm Thomson Geer, told the court it would be a “matter of real concern” if the only way X could reasonably comply with a takedown order was to remove the content for users worldwide.
He said it was “remarkable” to consider “the only way to control what is available to end users in Australia … (is) to deny it to everybody on earth (the content).”

JUST IN - X says it is closing its "operation in Brazil" because leftist government officials threaten to arrest its staff.
