This article was written yesterday about Jim Mellon who is investing in life longevity assets, looking to extend life for as long as possible.
If ultimately successful, would this not contribute to the growing inequality between those with an obscene magnitude of assets and the rest of the populace who have little to nothing?
Time is the only thing that everyone has the same amount of each day (assuming you're not unlucky enough to die that day). Being able to reverse the aging process robs one's progeny of the chance to stuff up the family fortune for the rest of the population to capitalise on, due to the death of the patriarch/matriarch.
There was a netflix show that addressed this issue, "Altered Carbon".
