As I've started a thread on weight loss it might be appropriate to include a thread on depression, they sometimes go hand in hand but in any case as depression is so very widespread these days it may be useful to have a place where you can express your experiences of it in relative anonymity.

If this includes you .....go for it.
 
Tips to snap out of it ...

Easy ones ...

*Cut/reduce television, newspapers and radio exposure in your life.
*Avoid people who are suppressive in the workplace (the cause of depression sometimes).

Hard ones ...

*Eat fresh vitalising (life giving) food, ... at all costs avoid dead food. :banghead:
*Stretch limbs, put on the running shoes then run around the block or jump on an exercise bike and really get some perspiration releasing through the skin pores.
*Read self-help books like -- The Power Is Within You by Louise Hay or Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers.Write affirmations, listen to motivational music or movie themes.

*Turn the electric lights off, light some candles and sit or lay down with incense or a scented oil burner in the room and just let your mind wander.
*In this passive environment one can really see beneath the mask of depression and raise their energy and awareness to higher and higher levels.
