DEG - De Grey Mining

You are right Miner re DEG History. I think it is a typo error thats the reason for my emoji.
Thank you gentlemen for pointing out my errors errors.
It wasn't till I was entering the data into my Portfolio manager that I saw I already had transactions for DEG, so I assumed it was the same entity, as even in my geriatric years I can still remember the joy of trading DEG.
My portfolio manager keeps transaction history, but not any name changes, delistings etc.
So I thought perhaps it may have had a metamorphosis so went searching for some history.
I could not find anything about name changes etc, but I did find this This Statement.
The current entity called DEG may have only existed since 2017, but according to their website , they first listed in 2002.

I guess I could go out in to the shed and climb the ladder to start going through all the boxes of paper records to find the original paper trail, but decided I didn't really need to go to that much trouble.
You ill just have to believe me.

Mick

I just had a look at the ASX website , and they have data going back to 2002.

Looking at my historical ransactions, I bought and sold multiple times on the way up thru 2003, thought I was genius.
Then of course I kept catching the falling knife and "averaging down" till half through 2005 when I threw in the towel along with my shirt and other items of clothing.

Oh Please don't climb up the ladder.
It's not a grave mistake. Typo errors are quite common with seniors.
Currently sitting in Specs Savers doing my senior hearing n eyesight tests.
I recalled DEG easily cos started with playing this penny stock n hoping it will eventuate into like NST. Still a holder.

Hey Mick
Make sure you have a safety harness and completed working at height course before climbing a ladder for mining 😀😃🙂

Catching up on weekend stock market news..Looks promising..

De Grey Mining’s option to acquire Kalamazoo Resources’ Ashburton gold project is advancing, with De Grey personnel having arrived on site to progress multi-pronged due diligence studies and activities.

Historical drill core and sample pulps have been retrieved from storage for incorporation into the due diligence and data review at the Mt Olympus deposit. The historical pulps have also been dispatched for laboratory broad spectrum multi-element analysis.

Detailed drone-based aerial photography and mine surveys were completed to assist with geological and geotechnical models. Once concluded, De Grey’s exploration team mobilised to site at Mt Olympus to prepare for metallurgical drilling in May.

The diamond drilling campaign designed to obtain metallurgical samples across Mt Olympus has been progressing since June. Holes are being logged and sampled on site, with the samples being despatched for laboratory multi-element analysis.

“We are delighted to report that as part of the Ashburton gold project sale process De Grey is on site and making significant progress towards completing its due diligence studies,” Kalamazoo chief executive officer Luke Mortimers said.

“Should De Grey exercise its option and acquire the Ashburton gold project, Kalamazoo will receive a total of $33 million in cash and/or De Grey shares which would be an excellent result not just for our shareholders, but also for De Grey and its proposed Hemi gold project in the Pilbara.”

De Grey first signed the exclusive option agreement with Kalamazoo in February 2024. The agreement provides De Grey with a 12-month option to purchase Ashburton and its contained 1.44 million ounces of gold resources, as well as all associated mining and exploration licences and applications.

“The outcome for Kalamazoo would be consistent with our strategy of identifying, acquiring, and discovering projects which we can enhance, and thereby create tangible shareholder value,” Mortimers said.

The Ashburton gold project is located on the southern edge of the Pilbara Craton in Western Australia.

I wonder how Plibo and the EDO will scuttle this project?

And, I wonder how many more times DEG can raise money before they start digging this crap up?

Flowsheet: Blast, dig, truck, mill, gold. How hard can this be?

The mention of engagement with the local tribe makes me cautious. I thought everyone was already on board.

I revisited Vector site after few years. It was disappointing exit from its subscription before COVID.
I was honestly shocked with their rating on De Grey and presented what Trading View said as a comparison

There's a lot of gold stocks that have done better than this over the past year. NST has doubled, just quietly.

Maybe it's just DEG going through the orphan stage of getting their finances sorted before the second bump on the Lassonde. Must be in the trough about now but should be coming out of it.

Positive signs on the chart at the moment.

Good points and well noted.

DEG is a single entity where as NST was an established entity.
DEG is yet to publish its MRE for 2024 and who knows there could be a crystal ball shown or not. All pretty speculative for sure. The low gold price basis of DFS is however a factual data with a low payback period.
My 0.0001 cent speculation or wishful thought , if Newmont considers buying it to increase its gold assets after selling off Telfer and feeling cash rich.
Having said that @Sean K - you are a champ on gold and other commodities on this forum. So would be keen to learn more from your analysis on facts than relying on my speculations :)

Just adding to my earlier speculation of a possible take over with random hunch - De Grey has presented in Denver which also HQ for Newmont. There can be always friendly chats over lunch and dinner .
De Grey is holding its AGM at Vibe Hotel in November. It is next door and same complex where NST and Newmont Australia HQ are located.
The worse would be if I sell off De Grey not believing my own speculation to see the SP jumped up :)

One of the majors should have bought this two years ago. Instead of Newcrest laying down their arms, they should have.

Chart still looks very good to me.
