DEG - De Grey Mining

Just a note that 'Between the Lines Finance' on Patreon has suggested a cautious attitude for DEG holders in anticipation of an impending feasibilty study. While DEG is beyond the prefeasibility stage of Chalice and a lot more is known about the project it's still at a risky juncture and the capital investment required might be unpleasant. He views it as market cap over-priced for this stage, even "ridiculous", and like Chalice has forced participation from etfs and inst index followers causing froth - also trend followers. Just my loose paraphrasing.

not held either , but do hold GOR

interesting board of directors , maybe i should put it on my watch-list , although i strongly prefer gold producers so i can guesstimate their ability to contain costs

Bad week for De Grey. Support looks shaky. I'll pick lower from here. Might be a double top in effect?
I have an interest in getting a few GOR at a cheaper price and GOR is a substantial holder of DEG I believe.
Not interested in DEG which is orphan stage and expensive.

DEG holder for med term n trading too. I will pick up more on low. Just look how far this stock had come from penny stock till $1 pus. In the early days it was a challenge bet WAF n DEG holders. In another deceased Forum, a WAF holder bragging about his profits frequently.

EV still about $2b and will have about a $1.3-5b Capex. God knows where they get that from. What's your guess? Goldfields via GOR?

DFS is being done predominantly on the Reserves which is 6Moz so 10 years at 600Koz pa at least. But, they've got 8Moz in M&I, surely that can be included. So, maybe 600K over 13 years +/-. I've got a feeling they're going to do a CHN and leave the UG stuff out of the DFS which won't make it look as good as it could be.

(edit, I probably should have looked at this slide in their last preso before writing the above. DFS must be due next week)

Bloody hell, there's some proper capitulation (preservation of capital?) going on in some of these large scale development plays.

Capex $1.3b at the lower end of my expectation, but I was fearing much higher. Lots to devour with these numbers. Doesn't look too much different from the last feasibility study on the surface of it.

Financing not quite as expected. A massive equity raise of $300m (@ $1.05 ) and debt of $800m. No partner...

Will be interesting to see what the market thinks.

Mmmmm...got to think n work it out...currently still thinking 60% ok...

Interesting response today after re-opening. Looks like a positive start, staying above the CR price.

MC $1.7b, not sure what a pro-forma EV is going to be once the dust settles.

Also, not sure what the NPV will work out to be once they eventually get to production in about 5 years. I have a feeling there'll be another big raise between now and first gold. Still uncertainty about how that $800m gets in the treasury as well. But, on present numbers it makes the MC about 50% of a number between the pre and post-tax NPV which I guess is about right for this stage of development.

But, you'd think they'll eventually get close to the NPV valuation on production. I can't see what the major risks are for this with the location. Only the part of the ore body that needs the POX and potential Voice demands down the track, but they seem to have the local tribes on side, so far.

The the question is, what's a 500Moz pa producer in NW WA worth in the future with POG around AUD$3000 and AISC around $13-1500.

Only an extra million ounces. For some companies that could be a mine in itself.

Surprised how little is in Measured so far. Thought they'd have much more in that category by now.

Dear DEG followers and posters
With 10.5 MOz resources but still DFS phase, how realistic the projects for DEG are ?
DNH but have seen CTM and its fall out. Similary with SBM (now taken over by Genesis) and speaking aloud after NCM and NEM merger, how realistically DEG can be a successful miner from an explorer only ?
How is the team behind to drive and corporate credential that you know?

Can you rephrase that miner? I get the impression english isn't your first language.

@fugal.rock Thankyou for provoding the written version that is so clear to us all now, clear as mud I should add🤣

It's going to take DEG a billion headaches to get Hemi into production I'm not sure why they want to make life harder by buying something 250km that might feed some concentrate into a POX that may or may not ever get working. Bizarre. Focus DEG, focus.

Thanks @Sean K .

The chart looks as if it will drift further down to $1.05 before there is clarity on this latest exploration.

The big moves in this stock seem to go in $0.40 dollops. Apr 23 to June 23and Sept 23 to Oct 23 and up again around Christmas to be having lower highs and lower lows since to now.

Crikey, that's some CR and dilution - 30%. I thought it might have been more like a major investing in it and debt. I guess they still need a lot of debt going forward. Probably another $800m to production.
