Righteo, I'll throw my hat in the ring yet again. I have to admit that my thesis for the last two years has failed.

2024 being a US election year has almost zero chance of any sort of meaningful correction to reasonable value. Additionally anything smaller than the top 10 stocks on the ASX has very little effect on the overall index value. That means that the big miners and big financials will create the headline number.

I can't see any threat to the fortunes of these businesses over the next year what do I see any reason, given the activities of Central Banks, any threat to the *valuations of the same. Indeed I think there is some justification for a melt up scenario.

I'm going to temper that with an absolute, pull a number out if my @55 guess and say 9,253
