Cryptocurrency scams

Facebook is awash with these kind of scams at the moment. I followed the link and it leads to a WhatsApp chatroom where professional scammers work large groups of people for weeks on end, gaining their confidence, before fleecing them of as much money as they can. The ads say stocks, but ultimately the discussion in these groups leads to crypto and the scams always revolve around crypto. Stocks is just the bait used in the ads.

Nobody seems to be doing anything. Facebook is making money by running these ads and the regulator chooses to look the other way. Facebook does more to assist organised crime than any other company on Earth. It's shameful.

You're right—cryptocurrency scams are everywhere, preying on the surge in interest. Phishing emails, fake recovery services, Ponzi schemes, and fraudulent investment platforms are all common tactics scammers use.

If you receive a suspicious email, never click on links or provide personal information. Reporting scams to relevant authorities (such as the exchange used or a consumer protection agency) can help prevent others from falling victim.

If you come across more scams, sharing details like you did can help others stay vigilant.
