Does anyone have a list of ASX listed copper mining companies, or know where one can be obtained?

I'm interested in companies in all stages, from exploration to production.

Any help appreciated!

I've just been looking into Marengo Mining (MMC). Just put it on the watch list for further research. You might also find this of interest:

I got companies on my watch list that focus on copper, but i wanted to see if anyone can recommend what companies you are watching so i can do my own research. I am trying to broaden my horizon and would appreciate some input. thank you

Here's my shortened watchlist.
Screenshot of larger list below.
Mainly producers, an explorer or 2 as well.

From recent noticed price action only (no TA/FA), standouts from list to me are (in no particular order);

LEX
RCP
MLX
C6C

-(HCH) seems to struggle to go anywhere great price wise?
Not sure why despite a few on the forum believing in it.
Although it had a spasm in the last week or 2, I believe.

I've taken a bite of HCH as a speccie explorer. Looks like they will have upward of an Andes porphyry 1Bt+ @ .05% which a major will chomp into. MC still under $150m I think, but could be an elephant.

If I were looking for a copper buy, NCM would be high on my list. Copper and Gold. Chart is behaving very nicely too. I only have an interest in copper via S32 and BHP, procrastinated too long over SFR. Real secular copper bulls ought to look over South 32's development projects (S32) imo. I also hold some RVR which has declined in price and has some copper in the mix.

NCM not held

... there is a lack of pure-play copper miners after OZ Minerals went from the ASX when taken over by BHP

1.

2. Metals Aquisition Limited, which bought Glencore’s CSA copper mine in western NSW in early 2022, has begun site visits with analysts and fund managers this week ahead of its mooted listing. A prospectus is expected by the end of January.

The company could seek to raise about $200 million, although the exact deal size and valuation had not been decided. Barrenjoey and Canaccord Genuity are joint lead managers.

Metals Acquisition Limited has been biding its time on the New York Stock Exchange, where it arrived via a special purpose acquisition vehicle (SPAC) backed by ex-Northern Star Resources boss Bill Beament and ex-Fortescue Metals chief executive Nev Power (no longer involved). The associated raise has dragged on for more than a year.

AIC Mines (A1M) is a pure copper play but it's a small player with a market cap of ~$130 million. Good management and some very prospective exploration projects. Copper production is based in the Cloncurry area at the Eloise mine and they have assembled a staggering 2000m2 of tenements around the mine that they are actively exploring and drilling. Last year they took over Demetallica Limited.

Lots to like IMO.

Copper project expansion approved in North Queensland

The lease to expand a North Queensland copper and gold mine has been approved, which will support hundreds of jobs and extend the mine’s life by a decade.

The lease to expand a North Queensland copper and gold mine has been approved, which will support hundreds of jobs and extend the mine’s life by a decade. AIC Mines Limited will be able to expand its Eloise Copper processing plant and extend into its nearby Jericho mine which would increase the production rate by 20,000 tonnes of copper and 10,000 ounces of gold each year.

The operations are in the McKinlay Shire but 60km south east of Cloncurry, and currently employs 195 full time roles and 73 contractors.

More than half of its fly in fly out workers live in Townsville while most of the reminder live in Brisbane and Cairns.

AIC Mines’ managing director Aaron Colleran said the expansion would employee 150 people in the two year construction phase, with another 100 permanent employees during production.

The company received the Jericho copper deposit in January last year, which is four kilometres away from the Eloise Copper processing plant.

A company report dated last month said it would be possible to access Jericho from a direct route underground from Eloise, but would require 3.6km of underground development.

Such a project would “transform Eloise into a true cornerstone for AIC Mines” and reduce mining costs because of access to shallow ore.

“To have the mining lease granted after only 15 months of ownership is testament to the quality of the project, the work ethic of the AIC Mines team, and importantly, the consistent and well-understood Queensland mining approvals process,” Mr Colleran said.

“The world needs more copper as we transition away from fossil fuels and AIC Mines is focused on delivering on that demand.”

Resource Minister Scott Stewart, who visited the North West Minerals Province last week to announce a breakthrough with a phosphate project, said the Jericho operation would have positive “ripple effects” across the region.

“It also means flow-on effects to places like Townsville which is part of the critical minerals supply chain,” he said.

“Prioritising and fast-tracking mineral extraction is a key action identified under the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.

“With our pipeline of critical minerals projects growing, Queensland is prepared to become a mining, processing, and manufacturing powerhouse for renewable energy.”
