Complete newbie to share investing...

Hey guys,

What's the easiest way of getting into the share market at the moment?

I want to start dipping my toe into the water (even though at the moment the markets seem overvalued) but as it's for the long term I'm not overly concerned as historical returns with a good managed fund seem to be about 8-10%.
I have had a look at what Vanguard offer - they seem to get good recommendations from people?

I would be looking to hold medium / long term, I'm currently employed so any variations in the short term wouldn't be the end of the world as the money I want to invest is surplus to my needs.
Looking to start investing about 15k to begin with. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

It seems you already know what you want.

You will need a broker, asx.com.au can help you find one.
There is also some educational material there!

Doubt you will find a better site than right here.
You will, however, need to be more specific about your hurdles.

Be thick-skinned - ignore the trolls - and ask away!

(Don't ever ask, "Which stock should I buy?"!! )
