Commsec EOD data corrupted all this week

Anyone else had problems with the huge number of 0,0,0,0,0 entries? always had a couple a week but I deleted manually.

It has stuffed up my Ezichart software and more importantly the Ezi manager reports for my accountant.

HOW CAN I QUICKLY DELETE ANY TEXT FILE LINE WITH "090731,0,0,0,0,0" IN IT?

Any other source free EOD data please?

Yeah also when you try and view and announcement it goes to a blank page.

Not sure what is up. I just go to the ASX site now and get the announcements.

no the problem is the share closing price data

seems like their schduled maintainence did more harm than good...
didn't notice any problem with EOD data, but they have screwed up the annoucement section for many stocks, which is a pain

I been having same problem.... no announcemnets or research on commsec, I keep sending them emails to fix, they just thank me for the complaint and nothing fixed. Stuffed my explorer up so I loaded firefox... only 60% working now.

Still not fixed local CBA said nothing to do with them!!! They will not even accept cash deposits for commsec for immediate credit!!

Yahoo Finance is a source of free EOD data, or if you're with comsec get it off Iress.

you open in notebook and replace the date and zeros with nothing then you would only have just the ticker
use edit replace

Yahoo is a good source. Just be aware that they will quote bids and asks for OHLC on Aus public hols which are trading days in the US.
Just find days with 0 volume and delete them.

I often find the volume on Yahoo is slightly incorrect to often downright wrong.

Commsec data working fine for me?

EZYCHART doers not let you import lines with anything missing or with 0,0,0,0

Wish you could do a replace with ???? where ???? is the stock code then it would delete the line completely

i dont understand, why would you want to import those 0 quotes lines ?
I use comsec eod data too and I noticed amibroker giving alot of errors on import rejecting all the 0 quotes which is exaclty what i want. Anything that has traded on the day seems accurate

Anyhow plenty of programs have regular expression find/replace. even ms word would do it no probs

I dont want to import them - I want to delete them prior to the import process as ezychart rejects 0,0,0,0, entries tho odd 1 or 2 was OK - I deleted manually but now there are lots.

I dont think they ever got around to fixing this - now use a competitors data which has no problems.
