Yup, PT2 looks a lot slicker and has a couple of nice extra features I would love to use. But when you're in and out trades in a matter of minutes, a freezing screen makes you miss a few heart beats

PT1 has been rock solid for me so far (this morning was my first drop out) but looks like an old DOS program. Could have much better charts, better top movers (restricted to top 20) and of course a live scan facility but the majority of the info needed is there. Anyhoo, give it a wirl and seee what you think Mint Man.

I called the comsec help desk few times and finaly I got the following reply:
We will have developers investigating this issue as soon as possible. If you are experiencing any further difficulties please notify us immediately and we can investigate further.

In the mean time, I recommend using PT1 as an alternative for now as it is a more stable trading platform. PT1 can also run simultaneously to PT2.

To install PT1 you will need to do the following:

-Navigate to http://images.comsec.com.au/downloads/protrader/protraderinstall.exe
-Relaunch application.
-Install the updates as requested.
 
Anyone else having trouble here? Bloody incompetence, a day like this & they go & crash.
 
PT1 down since 10 seconds after the open (brilliant timing as usual Commsuck), PT2 seems to be OK (well as OK as it ever is! )
 
Could not handle the pressure.

Opportunities missed.

This is CommSec's built-in safety valve. Stops you joining the panic when everybody else is selling

Was kicked out at open but logged back in 5 minutes ago, everything seems to be OK
 
They have done it again. They were down back in August plunge. yeah, protect the mum and dad. In few months from now, we should be grateful to Comsec.
 
yeah what a joke - today when all focus is on the stockmarket and they crash.

They should compensate me by repaying me all of todays losses as I was unable to sell all my shares on open as I had planned to do - don't you agree ?
