Commsec charts discrepancy

Hopefully its okay for me to start a new thread for a question.

I was just looking at ARP using Commsec, it lists the 52 week high as 5.60, but when i look at a chart, 5.20 is clearly the highest point (OHLC Bars). However using Google Finance, 5.60 was clearly the closing price on the 6th of November.

Is there any reason for this discrepancy, to me it seems like a bit of a worry if the charts arent accurate?

Cheers

Yes I have the $5.20 on Commsec as the chart high but my Yahoo OHLC chart has the price at $5.60. Someone with adjusted data will know.

Both charts are correct. The discrepancy is due to the 40c special dividend in October. Yahoo does not adjust for it, so the chart shows you a massive down day, as if something nasty happened and damaged its uptrend. Of course, a sensible chartist would have investigated and worked out it was just the ex-div date.

Comsec adjusted for the 40c special dividend, so all you see is a smoothly continuing trend.
