What's their 'regular' commission rate?
its $30 for trades over 10k
Yea, thats right... and its not actually $600, its just the first 12 trades that are free up to a value of $600... but if you make trades under 10k they're only $20ea so you only get $240 free brokerage
you know what they say
"theres no such thing as a free lunch"
well maybe in this case its just the entree thats free
Its quite misleading... perhaps they should advertise the first 12 trades free, rather than state "$600 free brokerage"

I signed up with commsec specially for the 600 brokerage, how do i know if i got awarded?
I signed up over 6 months ago with the $600 free brokerage.. I am still being charged, I thought I had to rack up the 600 before they returned it.. Guess I better give them a call..
Hi guys,
I just recently signed up for a commsec acc, I was planning on buying some qan or wbc shares, but when i go to place a buy order it looks like I'm going to be charged $29.90, are there any catches to the free brokerage? and i thought afterwards it was $20?
