CHIP Wars: Semiconductor mayhem

The only real advantage of small powerful chips is to make items lighter and smaller.

It's more advantageous with warfare, things like rockets, fighter planes and so on.

They can still make a washing machine or a mobile phone with larger chips, which means it needs to be a little larger.
And smaller is not always better😉
Seriously , the denser, the more problematic cooling of the chip becomes and as the running temperature increase, the rate of failure increases.
Compromise always

All chip and semiconductor related stocks are down in US premarket action now with just under 3 hours to the open. NVDA down nearly 6% with MSFT the best of a bad lot down 0.7%.

This may appear to be related to an announcement from ASML a Dutch chip lithographer presaging a fall in US chip profits in 2025 and 2026 due for differing reasons to Trump tariffs.
