Child care assistance for my poor niece?

hello guys,

dont know if anybody here is up with the latest in child care support.

my niece is a solo mum with a 2 yr old child and gets family assistence ofcourse but no Centrelink benefits, because she is not a Australian citizen.

To make ends meet she cleans the local high school for 3 hours a day and the family looks after her son during that time.

She would like to work more hours but would she be entitled to child care assistence if:

she is not an Australian citizen
she has no Centrelink benefit

yonnie we are not citizens but we are permanent residents but still qualify for centrelink payments-theye were also backdated to the time when we became residents but hadnt started claiming.Know this probably doesnt help but just something to think on.Al

BTW when shes on her feet she`ll probably invest in socks, not stocks
