I'm signing up to interactive Brokers with corporate trustee so I can open a margin account.

The biggest drawback so far are the market data fees because this kind of account is considered "professional".

As it stands, this would be just over a $1000 drag on profits p.a.

Does anyone know any alternative way to getting cheaper market data?

The best way would be to open an amp clearing account with $500. Then you get a choice of platforms. Pick a platform where you can use IB as the broker whilst still using amp clearing for data (cqg etc.).

I haven't come across this solution but I will research it right away.

Thanks for helping me out.

Before ninjatrader became a brokerage you could do it. I’m not sure now....maybe mt5?

Nah, I used to be for equities....I'm with macquarie and amp now.

Amp is arguably the best and cheapest for futures, but IB is likely the best all rounder....

I'm using Sierra chart now. But only through amp, haven't been able to set it up with macquarie yet...still trying. Do you already have an interactive brokers account?
