CER - Centro Retail Group

Additionally, CER was dragged down by the complexities of the inter-relations between the Centro group companies. It's good that the directors have been eliminating those, such as the foreign exchange hedges. Certainly, it would be even better if other Centro parts were all to be taken over, broken up, or whatever.

I could never understand how CNP's price stayed above CER for so long, when CNP has appeared doomed ever since the US property crash.

[I hold CER.]

She touched 37c today up 6%, looks like it might break the high of 39 sooner rather than later.

Doesn't cnp own a substantial stake in cer, like 50%?
Technically CNP still own just over 50% of CER but CNP has overall negative equity and its lenders will be taking that over as part of a settlement arrangement. It is part of the restructuring arrangement that has been negotiated.

Trading halt pending an announcement of a possible transaction. CNP halted for the same reason, so it must be something significant.
