A real quick thread this one lol
considering we'll know the answer in a couple of hours
Now for Norths-Manly - and I say that in that sequence intentionally - to win tomorrow over the Melb Storm
I mean, no-one ever had a problem with Norths ( did they?)
and even if Fulton was a difficult sun of a gun,
but Hasler is a gentleman is he not?

at least they don't have dedicated wrestling coaches
As Tom Keneally says, I thought it was a game of speed and skill and evading tacklers

Hopefully the days of people following two teams is over i.e. their own team, and whoever's playing Manly

(ALL AS POSTED ELSEWHERE)

"I hope Geelong wins [AFL] for bleak city, but as for the rugby league side of bleak city, we're going to - the northern beaches is going to loot and pillage Melbourne."
I'm with you Tom

Personally I hope Norths win

League commentator Roy Masters was responsible for giving Manly its silvertail image, back when he coached arch-rivals the 'fibro dwellers' from Sydney's Western Suburbs in the 1970s and 80s.

a quick poem ...

those Eagles are all so damned arty
not your average red blood true blue blokes
life to them is one giant long party
and to hell with us fibro folks

and they spend all their day seeking leisure
and they spin all these half hearty jokes
BUT…
the arty ones choke under pressure
and the precious ones fart arty chokes

Hey 20/20

I hope they win.

I live in Melbourne but barrick for the Sea Eagles as I grew up in Pittwater.

Not a good game last night i.e. Wallabies V Canada.

I guess the only positive note is that most of the players picked won't be playing in the quarters.

Go the Eagles.
Enoch

the sea eagles got no chance, israel folau is gonna score a hatrick :
hey shares !! hey !! lol -
only hattrick storm have to concentrate on is pulling a rabbit out of one to get on the scorebaord mate.

btw, Ignore those bookies - what would bookies know lol

I'm with you Enoch -
spray those Eagles with Scotchguard ...
unleash the "storm-proof eagles"

PS according to those odds (I think)
if they played 44 times,
Storm would win 30 of em; and Eagles would win 14 of em !

Guess what - tonight is one of those 14

Some of the `best of Queensland` players in the STORM so sit down zipper up and learn something.

P.S..... LOL

good luck! as the party begins
with the clash of Melbourne and Seagulls
and depending on which team wins
we'll have hungover storms - or illegals

ps wys
learn something! lol
apologies will be due in about an hour and 1/2 m8

No, that was pretty ordinary.

Then Mark Webber got taken out of 2nd place by his team mate in the F1 this afternoon.

But tonight is going to be better. Storm just scored again 10 - 0.

Go storm. Next best to a Queendslander.

someone put money on Storm ... "$20000 at $6.50 before the season commenced"
that would have been you then wys ? lol (or whiskers or so cyn) :eek3:

32 - 8 kick to come
gotta feelin the answer to the question is "no" , lol
It's moments like this you need minties - apologies in order wys.
just as well we didn't bet.

there'll be some ill-eagles tomorrow all right - hangovers but nothing to do with victory celebrations.

Ahhh - you get to a grand final, you've done ok
PS I'm not a sea eagles fan - just that I thought they might get the "lucky bounce of the ball" -

sure they got plenty of lucky bounces! - but could they do anything with it? lol - no bludy way
well done storm

(how good was Billy Slater?)

as someone said back there ..
trouble with those sea eagles...

" the arty ones choke under pressure..
....
and the precious ones fart arty chokes "

Congratulations and well done Storm ........ thoroughly deserved.....it was a different story last year when my team the Bronco's knocked them off .......i was a very happy camper ........but i'm pleased for them this year ..... you would have felt sorry for them if they went down tonight after being the most consistent team for 2 years running!!
Manly supporters shouldn't be too disappointed .... your team is still building and will be there in the years to come IMHO

Exactly.

...it was a different story last year when my team the Bronco's knocked them off .

Broncos were my team, but the Cowboys are probably my no 1 team now with Broncos no 2 and the 'cousins' Storm no 3.

By the way, to the ARL for making it a sunday night game in Sydney when NSW has a holiday monday... :::

ahh - you wonder why I moved from Qld to NSW m8 - much more sensible holidays -
but for State of Origin, I'm in a serious minority round here. (including in my own house sheesh - kids all claim to be NSWelsh-people)
anyways next weekend (6 oct) we play England in the rugby union - (replay of the final of last world cup) - ain't life grand

Well... god works in mysterious ways. I guess that's your punishment for going south. :

Yeah, we'll all be barracking for the same team there.

Disappointed but hey Got the Rugby to look forward to.

If the Wallabies beat England I will be happy.

If not well life goes on.

Got to love the bundy rum add "We wish England was Australia". I bet this will be played none stop next weekend.

Lets kick some English Butt.

Go the Wallabies.

speaking of wagers - anyone want to bet that the we'll all know the election date within 48 hours? (IMO - DYOR lol)
