Hi @dsper123 and welcome to the Forum.

From what I can gather, the latest update for MetaStock unfortunately still doesn't include the ability to do looping, which is required to calculate the "Weis Wave". Some years ago, with the use of a Forum DLL, it was possible to code the the Weis Wave and you will find evidence of this in some old MetaStock Forums which may, in part, no longer be relevant.

Thanks for your info on this matter. What are your thoughts if I use the zig-zag indicator as the framework to build the Weis Wave? FYI I only trade stocks and Metastock zig zag can be altered to match the wavelength we want. your thoughts on this will be much appreciated

That was daft of me earlier, sorry for my rudeness.
I sometimes convert code from other systems to Amibroker. If you can follow code then you should be able to do the reverse, there are multiple versions of Weis Wave for Amibroker available on line. Here's an example...

Oh dear, no looping in Metastock I see.

Hi @dsper123,

I'm not sure which version of MetaStock you have (I have version 9) but there are clear warnings in the "User Manual" when using the Zig Zag indicator.
May I respectfully suggest that you read the paragraph titled "The Zig Zag and Lastvalue() Trap" in your User Manual.
