They (authorities) can be quite powerful though, I have seen payday lenders taken to the cleaners (in terms of share price decimation) when they did these measures over the last number of years.On the mainstream news tonight. Possible Gov't action on predatory payday lenders. I'd call it more inaction.
In the report it was mentioned that the Gov't has given ASIC more powers to deal with this. Classic hand off.
