There's a wheelchair handy, but no ambulance.

The guy in the chair - his expression is focused. That's my main query. In shock due to major blood loss, your ability to focus is lost, you're all wide eyed and out of it.

"Physician" standing by the side (in yellow) as untrained people run the wheelchair through the streets?

There are wheelchairs aplenty at marathons.

The guys in the tan pants I believe are National Guard CST ADVON. The craft is a military training center you can buy there gear here. More than likely trained these guys as some kind of security for the event.

The thing in the guys hand ('detonator') is I think a CBRNE detector.

Boston suspects planned attack on New York City, Mayor Bloomberg says

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev said to have told FBI investigators of plan to drive to New York and detonate explosives in Times Square

The Boston marathon bombing suspects planned to drive to New York with their remaining arsenal of explosives and launch an attack on Times Square, the city's mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Thursday.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old surviving suspect, is said to have told investigators about his plan during interrogations earlier this week in the Boston hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds to the neck, hands and legs.

The plan was only said to have been thwarted when the brothers were intercepted by police in a Boston suburb. An ensuing gun battle left the older brother dead and prompted a day-long manhunt for the survivor.

Bloomberg's revelation came as pressure increased on US authorities over their handling of the case. Senators emerged from new briefings by the FBI on Capitol Hill with concerns over how a number of US agencies handled warnings from Russia about Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who died after a botched escape attempt last Thursday.

British people fighting in Syria are being trained as “jihadists” and then encouraged to return to the UK to launch attacks on home soil, an al-Qaeda defector and western security sources have told the Telegraph.

In a rare interview on Turkey’s border with Syria, the defector from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) said that recruits from Britain, Europe and the US were being indoctrinated in extremist anti-Western ideology, trained in how to make and detonate car bombs and suicide vests and sent home to start new terror cells.

He has provided the first confirmation from Syrian rebels that young British men are being indoctrinated in extremist anti-Western ideology.

Some of those intent on overthrowing the Syrian regime are being brainwashed by fanatics, the former member of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) warned.

His comments echo the concerns of the security services at a time when it is feared that up to 500 Britons are fighting in Syria and could return to emulate attacks such as the London bombings and 9/11.

France warns Europe could be 'overwhelmed' by jihadis returning from Syria

French interior minister warned on Sunday that the possibility of terror attacks by the hundreds of European jihadists returning home from Syria represents "the greatest danger we will have to face in the coming years".

"We, French and Europeans, could be overwhelmed by this phenomenon, given its scale," Manuel Valls said in a television interview.

His warning came after it emerged that two 15-year-old French boys had left this month to fight in Syria. They are believed to be among the youngest Westerners to travel there since the Arab Spring revolt against President Assad turned into a full-blown civil war.

The prospect of hundreds of battle-hardened extremists returning to Europe with training in bomb-making and weaponry has become a major cause of concern in recent months.

Mr Valls said the numbers going there had "accelerated" in recent weeks.
