Hi All,

Ive got a fair idea this wont get a heap of response on a website mostly dedicated to individual equities but here goes...

As well as investing in a range of small caps and blue chips I have a decent portion of my portfolio in managed funds. I see them as being relatively low risk investments with a view to investing mid to long term. I also believe that despite giving up between 1% and 5% in fees to the fund manager (grrrr) the returns are likley to be higher (consistently - in the LT) than I will achieve by thrashing around on with my CFD's and equities. They also are often viewed more favourably by lenders (than small caps for example) so I find it easier to maintain a high level of gearing.

ANYWAY - Biotecs are looking like they are getting an increasing amount of attention recently so I was wondering if anyone knew any managed funds that were focused on Biotecs?

Thanks Team,

F

Re: Managed Funds

Hi Freddy
There is a fund that myself and a mate of mine has been into for a few years now. It is the J B Were global health and biotech fund. It has returned:
87% one year
44% three years
39.2% 5 years
Just give it a search on the web or drop me a line for more :)
Cheers martin

Freddy you should also check out a company called circadian technologies ,

asx code cir they invest in biotech companies that may have potential.

Take a look at a long term chart they seem to be heading in the right
direction atm from memory they bounced off .90 cents and trading around the $1.70 ish @ the moment.

Not holding.dyr.

Hope it helps

cheers marc.
