My contacts in Canberra tell me that Albo's Referendum is on the nose with a significant number of backbenchers, so much so that there is talk of it being pulled. The Ross Island Hotel Media Committee tell me that Bill Shorten is uncontactable this afternoon, a good sign that the counting of numbers is afoot.

I believe it is now Bill's time to shine and take over the reins of power. In addition many in the pub agree that Bill's promotion of womens' issues as well as being an advocate for tradies and working people will see him sail in to the Prime Ministership. Albo's referendum will unfortunately see an end to a long career, never having worked after University, and the beginning of a long pension.

It is thus that history is made. All hail Bill Shorten.

But he managed to change partner midstream, which kind of diminished any criticism of Barnaby Joyce doing same.

If the Libs manage to pull off a miracle and actually become Libs again, the electorate might just move him on after one term.

But nah, they were mooting Zac Kirkup as WA leader in light of the latest polls here in WA.... political seppuku.

The Libs will be lost for a generation in all states and federally. Labor will have to blow themselves the @#$& up.

Hmmmm, it seems that is actually possible... But it won't be doing us any favours.

Rudd / Gillard / Abbott / Turnbull and Albo

Only problem of course is Rudd's reform requiring over 50% caucus and over 50% membership vote.

It is a bit weird now though, with ScoMo the media had someone to blame for everything, now they are in a state of confusion. ?

It is all turning to $ht and they don't want to blame their mates, but with Lowe gone, the bushfire season, summer and referendum arriving, they must be wetting themselves.
 
Although to be fair to the media, Scomo couldn't lie straight in bed.

Yeah! Despite my seething anger for these and other petty tyrants (including their uniformed Gestapo), I am actually more acutely disappointed in my fellow plebeians.

The best I can take out of it all is a learning experience, how other diabolical despots manipulated their populace into a totalitarian compliance, and how it could easily happen again.

Know nothing about her, or her Government, but it sounds like Queensland like the domineering types.
When you think about it, that type of leader seems to do well in Australia.
Maybe it's an Australian thing, where Australians like to be told what to do, come to think of it maybe that's where they got the apathy tag from.
Maybe that's why some people use the ploy, to push their agenda down other people's throats, it's a successful and proven tactic and is still being used as we speak.
Who would have guessed.
 


Politicians gotta enjoy it while it lasts, I suppose. Stakes are raised these days - here in Aus and the US, at the least. You lose the election and not only is your income slashed, but good chance you'll be hunted down - i.e., payback time. Such little respect for ex-holders of highest office. You lose and have to then expect enquiries, investigations, royal commissions, books demonising everything you ever did. Basically when the opposing side gets in they will try to cancel (soz for the buzzword) the leadership that came before them. I imagine the Biden clan would be quaking if Trump SOMEHOW became POTUS again.
