Anyone got any views on whether this reoganisation of Brambles and their on-market buy back will have much effect on the share price?

I'm currently sitting on a 14.4% gain since early November, and am enjoying the ride :D.

It's been pretty flat though since spiking up at the end of November, and by my chart is now back at its recent trend line. Onward and upward would be nice!

Cheers

Doesn't look like anyone is in BIL??

Oh well....

May retrace back to $12.00 or lower soon?
Ex Div on Monday. :D

Hello Dewdrop

I've been close to adding BIL to my portfolio for a while but suspect the current takeover hype and consequent increase in the SP may come to nothing. Will see how it fares when more is known about any takeover and after it goes ex-div.

I had it for a while but sold it some months ago.

I keep an eye on it but haven't bought it again.

BIL is down 71 cents to $11.67 (nearly 6%).

Seeing as today is ex-dividend and the announced amount was 48 cents, is there any explanation for this larger than expected fall?

Are any of you looking to invest/trade BIL at this stage?

Yes, scsl, I'm still looking at it. Possibly the added drop today could mean some softening of the take-over talk which has been running recently?

That could probably be the case. When I first had a look to see if they had any announcements out on Commsec, I noticed that they had a few 'Appendix 3B' ones in the last few days... I had a look at them and it pretty much stated that they had issued new shares. I thought that maybe the dilution of EPS had driven the sp down but surely, the number of new shares would have been minute compared with the total number of shares issued?

But yes hopefully, things should clear up in the next few days.

Is BIL overvalued at $12.75

are they a good defensive stock longterm to re-invest dividends. i was thinking 500 shares.

Ken,

I'd be more interested in BIL if the dividend was more than the 1.6%.
When it's that low, I'm looking for better growth than BIL has shown over the past year.
