producers should be helped by a weak $A , but who knows

don't neglect SHV ( i hold ) it used to do well with FX tailwinds

Iron ore miners up today. I get the impression that our dollar is commodity based, and that a weak dollar isn't helpful in this regard... maybe I'm wrong.

it depends who is selling iron to where , there is still a threat of a MAJOR war coming

the wildcard to watch for is Glencore trying to take-over RIO again , Glencore really lusts over the RIO iron assets

Ms. Rinehart is probably raking it in because she is sell mostly to South Korea

a weak aussie dollar hits costs ( of imported ) plant and international debt however a low-debt business that exports may be grinning from ear to ear
 
Major war coming from where, divs? China's in a fix, and Putin's sick, so I heard.

Because of China's situation, I haven't been in a hurry to buy the miners yet. One day, there'll be reports that they're upping support, and the next, rumours of the opposite..........I don't know what's true and what's not.
 
NATO + Australia v China , Russia and maybe half of Africa

and Turkey liable to be caught in the cross-hairs again ( to force regime change )

will these clowns slow-walk us into a full-blown nuclear war after all the West can't afford to lose a conventional war

if we assume war is coming

Sun tzu says ... all war is based on deception , so the war probably started in 2019 and we think it will start when the shooting starts

This war you're talking about, 'deception' has been going on since the day of dawn....our great great great great grandfather's day. We're still around to reproduce and on a merry go round...I prefer this war so long as it's not nuclear, divs, in which case we'll all be history.

I should start thinking about picking up some BHP next week, divs. To be safe, a small parcel will be enough for starters....about time to knock off, have a great weekend, and thanks for chat.

maybe not me ( from nuclear blasts ) but expect the following period to be harsh and unfriendly ( even if Australia wins the taxes will be horrendous )

a while back i bought some BIS they are slowly wandering north as is PFP

Hi eskys, myself had day surgery on Wed n I think Farmer is under the weather. Don't know much about row. GB had dropped out or travelling. I will be going overseas at end of this mth till mid Sept. Hoping to make some quick bucks for holiday spending but am stuck in RED. Last couple of days, unable to trade nor to exchange currency...OZ dollars drop...Hoping next week may get a break while inwardly, I doubt it..still more market drop to come..some of our stocks doing ok due to div reporting. Just have to wait n see..
